The President of the National Association of Hair and Beauty Practitioners of Nigeria (NAHBPON) in the person of Mr Barile Ngbobu was invited to the Independent Television Abuja, popularly known as ITV on thursday April 16 2020 to give his views about the ongoing global pandemic ravaging the world and how it affects the hair and beauty industry. In the interview been aired on the popular show “The Boss” , Mr Barile explained and gave an account of how the pandemic had affected the day to day life style of all service providers in the private sector. In his opening remarks he thanked the federal government for their efforts in curbing and controling the spread of the deadly virus, and also pleaded on the federal government to fastrack the sensitization and clean-up process. He reiterated on the fact that NAHBPON is and will be a key organ in re-building confidence in the general public as regards social and economic stability as they cover a significant number in the private sector which is the building block of any economy especially in Nigeria. He also urged the entire public to take precautionary measures to prevent and protect themselves from getting infected with the dreaded COVID-19, A disease which had claimed thousands of lives globally. He thanked the team at ITV for reaching out to NAHBPON and also urged Nigerians to embrace the initiatives.
